  • Pick the right Realtor
    I can’t emphasize this enough, Nothing slows down the process like not being connected to the right person. Communication is key, as is trust. It’s a big decision and it needs to happen with the right person.

  • Know the numbers
    Know what you can afford, chat with your financial planner, work with a mortgage specialist, run the budget, and always make sure you can go out for a beer on a Friday night.
  • If I can smell it, I can’t sell it
    My favourite homes smell like clean laundry and fresh cookies, don’t yours? I’m a busy Mom with a big dog – so there are rainy days where my house smells exactly like that – but not when you’re ready to sell. Let’s make sure your house is in tip-top shape before we list it!
  • Clean, clean, clean
    Clean your eavestroughs, your sheds, your storage room, your baseboards, etc.
    Clean it all, get the tube of caulking out and do all the things you wished you did before you decided to sell (TRUST ME – This is ALL OF US).
    Everyone loves a clean home – it helps it sell. Also no one deserves to see your leg hair in the shower – at least that’s what my husband tells me.

    Find a realtor (Ok me) that does the research on your price, and has the connections to get it sold. Don’t ask for an extra $30,000 because you want a boat. We all want a boat, but trust us – the longer your house sits – the less you could get. Plus we are always working towards getting more than one offer – which helps get people’s those boats
