Today we’re chatting with Stacey Jacobs. Stacey is the Sexual Education Health Manager at Shore Centre and a professor of Sexuality, Marriage, and Family Studies at the University of Waterloo. Stacey is a vocal advocate for sex education in our community – she writes a column called Sexplanations for the Community Edition and will soon be speaking on local radio stations about the new sex ed curriculum in Ontario schools. In today’s episode we tackle teaching children consent, the importance of removing shame around periods, and how we can all address issues of intimacy and loneliness in our communities.
